Restrincting folder and subfolders access

Posted by Luc Charbonneau at January 26. 2005
Hi,
I'v been working on a more restrictive folder forkflow for I while.
I successfully added a restricted state and made sure only users with the Reader Role (custom) can access folders in the Restricted state

But I have a small problem right now I can't find a way to restrict subfolders for someone who has the Reader role on the root folder.

For example
If I have folder A and inside it a folder B
if I assing the Reader role to user1 on A then he'll have access to B as well is there a way to stop rights inheritance so that he wont have access to B...

I know this is not a major issue so if you don't have any idea about it don't waste too much time searching. I searched for an hour or so already and couldn't find a thing...

and jake about the Tabs problem I had a few days ago I'm still working on it if I ever find a solution I'll report back to you on it. Thank you so much for your help

HOW CAN I REMOVE THE INHERITANCE ON SUB FOLDERS IN WIN2003? IF I HAVE A FOLDER ROOT AND SUB FOLDERS INSIDE THAT. I NEED TO GIVE PERMISSIONS TO THOSE FOLDERS TO INDIVIDUAL FOLDERS.

PLEASE HELP.
