i´m using zope 2.7.8/ OS SUSE LINUX 9.1 - when starting zope i get this error message in the end:
IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/home/htdocs/web0/Zope-Instance/var/Data.fs.lock'
- but this file does not exist?! where is the problem?

You probably did not give access permission to the user. Try doing chown or chmod to your instance directory. Hope that helps.
